Gift Of The Holy Ghost, The

The gift of the Holy Ghost is pictured in the Mosaic Tabernacle by the divine Fire that fell from the Cloud and Fire upon the Brazen Altar where Aaron had put the sacrifice. The holy Fire consumed the sacrifice after the priests had offered it upon the Brazen Altar. The fire fell in the shape of a lion. The more the altar grew in sacrifice, the larger the lion grew to devour the sacrifice. Likewise, the more we lay hold of the Crucified Christ, the greater the Holy Ghost and Fire increase in our heart and life. The entire ministry of the Mosaic Tabernacle depended upon daily, fresh, increased fire from the Brazen Altar, for this fire was carried to the Golden Altar, the Candlestick, and the Table of Shewbread.
