Blessings Of Suffering – A Study On The Book Of Job, The

The first of the six poetical books in the Bible, Job explains the purpose of suffering. The first chapter of this book shows Job’s growth and perfection that he had attained before he suffered. However, through Job’s sufferings, he received a deeper, higher, broader, and longer revelation of God and His almighty power. Through his sufferings, Job also received a greater revelation of his arrogant self and was able to abhor his pride and repent in dust and ashes. Therefore, after his suffering, he increased in great fruitfulness in all areas of his life.
