Hebrews Chapter Thirteen

We must learn to obey those who have the rule over us. The Hebrew word for obey is shaw-mah, which means to hear intelligently; to give attention; obedience; to gather together carefully; certainty; to consent, to consider, to be content, to declare; diligently; to discern, to give ear, to cause to obey, to make to hear, to listen, to make noise, to repeat; obedient; to obey, to perceive; to make to proclaim, to publish, to regard, to repent, to shew forth, to make a sound, to understand, to witness.
